Currently there are no direct flights to Chaiyaphum; therefore travelers often rely on road transport. From Bangkok several bus services operate routes to Chaiyaphum including Phetprasert Tour which offers buses from Bangkok to Nong Bua Rawe and Chaiyaphum. Vans such as Thep Sathit Tour depart hourly from Chatuchak passing through Rangsit Saraburi Chai Badan Lam Sonthi and Thep Sathit with a service fee of 200 baht per person. For those opting to drive the journey from Bangkok spans approximately 340 kilometers and takes around five to six hours depending on traffic conditions. Within the province local transportation includes buses motorbike taxis and songthaews (shared taxis). Geographically Chaiyaphum is characterized by a mix of forests mountains and plateaus with the central area comprising plains. This diverse terrain contributes to the province's scenic landscapes and natural attractions.

Chaiyaphum is renowned for its unique souvenirs and traditional cuisine.
